Devon Konrad, MPT
Devon is an owner of Ladner Village Physiotherapy Inc., where she sees clients two days per week. Additionally, Devon works a clinical skills assistant at the University of British Columbia in vestibular rehabilitation and is a board member for the non-profit organization Balance and Dizziness Canada. She loves a good conference, most recently heading to Amsterdam for the 6th International Consensus Conference on Concussion in Sport and to Minneapolis for the 2nd International Conference for Vestibular Rehabilitation.
Devon started her career in vestibular rehabilitation in 2011 with a locum position at the premiere vestibular physiotherapy clinic in the Fraser Valley. She was incredibly fortunate to have Rebecca Meeks as a mentor, who nurtured Devon’s passion for vestibular rehabilitation. Over time, she delved deeper into her formal education and pursued a higher level of training. In 2017, Devon started putting on her teaching hat by taking Master of Physical Therapy students from UBC and teaching the next generation of physical therapists.
Devon uses a biopsychosocial and holistic approach to treatment. She often collaborates with other professionals including occupational therapists, family physicians, nurse practitioners, kinesiologists and mental health practitioners to create client- and family-centred treatment plans. Devon uses her extensive training in manual therapy, orthopaedics and intramuscular stimulation to augment and enhance an exercise-based vestibular rehabilitation approach to treatment.
